Oak bench – Bespoke

Oak is a magnificent and very robust wood, a table of this quality will last several generations without problems.

We select the finest oaks for the manufacture of our tabletops. You will have the choice between straight edges or live edges. Regarding live edges, each creation will be different as we follow the natural shape of the tree’s bark.

Our carpenter works the raw wood in such a way as to have a finished piece of high quality and durability over time. Each tabletop is manufactured by hand in a craftsmanship manner.

! Warning !

Solid wood like Oak can react to humidity present in the air, it is possible that small checks may appear. These are superficial cracks that do not affect the quality of the wood in any way. Once the adaptation period has passed, your tabletop will stabilise and will no longer move. Wood is a living material that reacts with its environment.

To showcase your oak top, we offer you several steel legs. Our bench feet are handcrafted in our workshop in Maine and Loire.

You will receive your bench in two parts, on one side the top and on the other the legs. Assembly is very simple, you just need to place the top upside down on the floor, then screw the feet at each end of your bench (we provide hinge screws) you will simply need to be equipped with a screwdriver and a torx bit.

Of course, all our table feet are equipped with plastic adjustment pads, they allow you to perfectly stabilise your bench and protect your floor. You can thus slide your bench on your tiles or parquet without damaging it.

WORKTOP FINISHING

A high-end colourless varnish will be applied in 3 coats. Once the varnish is applied we will finish sanding with very fine steel wool for a smooth and soft finish. The varnish we apply will be completely colourless, the aim being to preserve the natural colours of the wood.

Once the finishing is complete, maintaining your Oak worktop will be child’s play. For cleaning you simply need to use a damp sponge and nothing else.

BASE FINISHING

Raw with Matt varnish : The raw steel will have a midnight blue – grey colour, with the presence of scratches, imperfections and grinding marks. A sign of its authenticity. The varnish protects your table base from corrosion that may appear over time.

Powder coating : Your base will be covered with a powder in the colour of your choice, then placed in an oven at 200 degrees creating a slightly textured, uniform and very durable coating. Powder coating is non-toxic, non-polluting and durable over time.

Powder coated in the RAL of your choice : If you choose this option, you must tell us the colour or RAL chosen when validating your order (example: RAL 7016, RAL 7021, RAL 2100, RAL 2525 etc..

For the dispatch of our benches, we work with Geodis transport.

Before being dispatched, your bench will be completely covered with foam to prevent any problems during transport.

Delivery will be by appointment, the carrier will contact you to arrange the day of their arrival.
